Two Maine service dogs up for national award

PORTLAND (WGME) — Two of the country’s top seven service dogs live in Maine.

Two dogs from Maine, Aura and Dolly, are finalists in the “American Humane Hero Dog Awards.”

Aura is a 7-year-old from Brunswick and serves as a hearing dog for an army veteran who lost her hearing in Afghanistan.
