When Principal Darby learned of her students’ economic woes, he started working two jobs to help raise funds. His boss at Walmart did not know but when they learned, they gave him a surprise in the form of $50,000 check to help out Darby’s mother instilled in him the value of giving back without asking for anything in return North Charleston High School Principal Henry Darby grew up in a generation when you simply don’t ask for money but just do what you need to do.
