OverviewCoffeemakers are so convenient because they can provide a pot of hot coffee in minutes. The coffeemaker works by heating up the water and brewing it with the beans; it passes through a filter and into a pot. If you remove the coffee grounds from the filter and use tea leaves instead, you can brew a pot of tea. You will save time by not having to bring an entire kettle of water to a boil and then waiting for the tea bag to steep.Step 1Clean the coffeemaker if you have recently used it to make coffee. Pour a pot of water with 1/2 cup vinegar into the coffeemaker and brew with just an empty filter. Discard water. Run another pot of clean water through it to remove any vinegar taste.Step 2Decide how many cups of tea you want to brew; use twice as many tea bags as indicated on its packaging. Since tea becomes darker the longer it steeps in water, and using a coffeemaker is a quick process, you will need double tea bags to compensate the loss.Step 3Open the tea bags and pour the leaves in the filter. Spread them out flat so the water passes through most of the tea leaves.Step 4Pour 6 to 8 ounces of water into the water compartment for each serving of tea that you are making.Step 5Start the coffeepot and wait for it to heat up and prepare the tea. Don’t remove the pot until the tea has completely stopped dripping.Step 6Pour the tea into each mug and use any desired additions, such as lemon or creamer, sugar, or honey.skill2ingredientCoffeepot
