Fliers may soon be able to use their electronic devices during takeoff and landing.
The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to relax the ban on using some types of devices – including e-readers and iPods – according to draft recommendations prepared by an advisory panel to the agency, the Wall Street Journal is reporting.
The change would not include mobile phones, because the Federal Communications Commission, not the FAA, controls their use.
The FAA has been discussing the changes for months, but this is the first time that a proposal has been put into writing. Read more: Daily Mail
